Bonus points for those old people out there who know what line that is from. But it’s a line you definitely don’t want people saying when the name of your organization or company comes up in conversation. You want to develop an awareness for your cause, your mission or your brand that really strikes chords with people. Awareness is not just a buzzword connected with nonprofit organizations. Awareness can apply to any venture, including and most often, for-profit ones. How aware the public is that you even exist in the first place is half the battle.

- Stuff I haven’t even thought of yet, but am guaranteed to, at a rate of 7 ideas per minute. Even during sleep!
Creating a true awareness campaign requires goals, a plan and a timeline. It must be clear, and free of clutter and cloudiness that may confuse your end user. Staff must be trained to handle all situations with your awareness in mind and depending on the campaign itself, that can be a super easy thing to do, but is so often overlooked.
